From October 4 to 7 I was invited to the XLII Congress of the American Confederation of Urology<\/strong>, in Santiago de Chile. An event of high scientific content of contemporary urology, which has been held with great success every year, where I had the opportunity to speak at the symposium of the Spanish Association of Urology (AEU) on current treatments for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)<\/a> is the benign growth of the prostate gland, although this pathology does not depend solely on the size of the prostate, but also requires a urodynamic criterion, i.e. a decrease in the strength of the voiding stream and symptoms secondary to this obstruction, such as high voiding frequency and difficulty in urinating, among others. It is for this reason that we want to give visibility to the different treatment options that we can offer so that the patient has a more efficient and rapid recovery, since it affects 40% of men over 40 years of age.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this four-day space, I had the opportunity to share with health professionals such as Dr. Alejandro Rodriguez, Dr. Tom\u00e1s Olmedo and Dr. Juan Pablo Corbetta<\/strong>, who shared high specialty knowledge in uro-oncology, renal transplantation, laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery, andrology, erectile sexual dysfunction, endourology, urodynamics, female urology, incontinence, and reconstructive surgery, among others.<\/p>\n

I thank the American Confederation of Urology<\/a>, the Chilean Society of Urology<\/a> and the Iberoamerican Society of Pediatric Urology for inviting me to be part of this new edition of the XLII American Congress of Urology and I hope to continue participating in future editions to continue sharing new techniques in the world of urology.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
